Edge Defender — Privacy Policy
Effective July 1, 2026. Edge Defender is operated by Logan Security Consulting, LLC, a subsidiary of Logan Industries, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect data in connection with the Edge Defender service and admin panel.
1. Scope & roles
This policy explains how Edge Defender handles data. It covers two kinds of data: (a) your account data, for which we are the controller; and (b) the scan and device data our sensors collect from your premises ("Customer Data"), for which you (the Customer) are the controller/owner and we act as your service provider / processor - handling it on your instructions to provide the Service.
2. What we collect
Account & contact data:
- account or business name, contact name, email address, and phone number (used for one-time-passcode sign-in);
- account settings and preferences.
Sensor scan data from your premises:
- Network devices - IP addresses, MAC (hardware) addresses, device vendor/brand, and open ports;
- Wi-Fi - access point names (SSID), identifiers (BSSID), channel/frequency, and signal strength;
- Bluetooth - device addresses, broadcast names, manufacturer/company identifiers, and signal strength;
- scan timestamps and the site/location labels you assign.
Node & usage data:
- node status, heartbeats, scan schedules, and diagnostic logs;
- log and analytics data generated when you use the admin panel.
Some identifiers we collect - such as MAC addresses or Bluetooth device names - may relate to individuals' devices and can be personal data under some laws. You are responsible for the lawful basis for collecting this data at your premises and for any notices or consents required.
Edge Defender detects devices and anomalous presence; it is not designed to identify or track individuals.
3. How we use data
We use data to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service; to surface device inventories, reports, and potential-threat alerts to you; to send service and alert communications; and, in aggregated or de-identified form, to improve detection quality. We do not use Customer Data for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
4. How we share data
We use trusted sub-processors to operate the Service:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud - authentication, database, hosting, and functions;
- Mapbox - map display in the admin panel.
We may disclose data if required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us. If the business is transferred, data may transfer with it, subject to this policy.
5. Storage & security
Data is stored on Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, including encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Retention
We retain Customer Data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After account closure, or on your instruction, we delete or de-identify Customer Data within a reasonable period, subject to any legal retention requirements.
7. Your choices & rights
Customers may access, correct, export, or delete their account data by contacting us. Where individuals' device identifiers are captured by a Customer's sensors, those individuals should direct requests to that Customer (the controller of that data); we will assist the Customer in responding as their processor. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
8. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and organizations and is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent).
9. International
The Service is operated from, and data is processed in, the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, you consent to that processing.
10. Changes & contact
We may update this policy; changes take effect when posted. Questions or privacy requests: privacy@edgedefenderai.com.
