Edge Defender — Terms of Service
Effective July 1, 2026. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Edge Defender monitoring service, including its sensor nodes and agents, cloud backend, and admin panel (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Logan Security Consulting, LLC(“Provider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a subsidiary of Logan Industries, Inc. By using the Service you (the “Customer”) agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Edge Defender helps you monitor networks and premises you own or control by deploying sensor nodes (hardware and/or software agents) that scan your local network and nearby wireless environment to inventory devices and surface potential concerns - for example, unknown or lingering devices, hidden-camera signatures, and rogue or "evil-twin" Wi-Fi access points - which you view through the admin panel.
Edge Defender detects devices and anomalous presence; it is not designed to identify or track individuals.
2. Authorization to monitor
You represent and warrant that you own, operate, or have full authority to deploy the sensors at, and to monitor the networks and premises where, they are installed, and to collect the data described in our Privacy Policy. You are solely responsible for the lawfulness of the monitoring, including providing any notice to, or obtaining any consent from, employees, visitors, or others as required by applicable law. You will not deploy the Service on any network or premises you do not own or are not authorized to monitor.
3. Not a guarantee of security
The Service is a detection aid, not a guarantee. It does not detect all devices, hidden cameras, rogue access points, intrusions, or threats, and is not a substitute for a professional security assessment. You remain solely responsible for your own security decisions and response.
4. Accounts & credentials
Accounts are provisioned by us. You must keep your account information accurate, safeguard your credentials, are responsible for all activity under your account, and must notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized use.
5. Acceptable use
You will use the Service only lawfully and only to monitor networks and premises you are authorized to monitor. You will not:
- use the Service to unlawfully surveil, harass, track, or profile any individual;
- scan or monitor any third-party network or premises without authorization;
- interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works of the software, except to the extent permitted by law.
6. Your data
As between you and us, you own the scan and device data collected from your premises ("Customer Data"). You grant us the rights necessary to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Data to provide the Service, and to use aggregated or de-identified data to operate and improve the Service. We handle Customer Data as your service provider / processor, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Fees
Fees for the Service, if any, are as set out in your order or plan. We may introduce or change fees, tiers, or limits on reasonable notice; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
8. Availability & changes
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Sensor hardware, local networks, and third-party services affect performance. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and we do not guarantee availability, uptime, or that the Service will be error-free.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, sensors, and admin panel, and all related intellectual property, are our property. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service during your subscription. No other rights are transferred.
10. No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and including any warranty that the Service will detect any particular device, camera, or threat.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, reliance on, or inability to use the Service. You assume all risk associated with your use of the Service.
12. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or liability arising out of your use of the Service, your Customer Data, your monitoring activities, or your breach of these Terms - including any claim that your deployment or monitoring was unauthorized or unlawful.
13. Force majeure
We are not responsible or liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet or network outages, cloud-provider or third-party service failures, natural disasters, cyberattacks, labor disputes, governmental actions, or acts of God.
14. Term & termination
Either party may terminate on notice. We may suspend or terminate access for any violation of these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we handle Customer Data on termination as described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
16. Changes; survival; entire agreement
We may update these Terms; changes take effect when posted, and continued use constitutes acceptance. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including Your data, Intellectual property, No warranty, Limitation of liability, and Indemnification). These Terms are the entire agreement regarding the Service; if any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
